I've been volunteering as a timekeeper for over a year and heard that the committee needed new members....so here I am!
I don't have the best balance and have almost fallen in the pool several times when leaning over to stop my watch as the swimmer has touched the wall! Hopefully it won't ever happen...
Like most clubs, GASC can't run without volunteers - everything is done or organised by volunteers. Please get involved and help your club - it's not a chore and it can be loads of fun!
There's a real team spirit within the club, not only between all the swimmers but between all the parents too. We are all very supportive of one another and all the children - this really shows on gala days.
