East District Young Leader Squad
One of the club’s ambitions is to involve our older young people in improving and helping to run the club. We want to hear the views and opinions of our younger members and we know that our members in the 15 to 18 years age group can do so much to help motivate younger swimmers within the club.
We are therefore delighted that we have started this process by having two of our swimmers accepted on to the East District Young Leaders’ Award weekend. Maya Adair and Ashton Kerridge will attend the next course which will take place on the weekend commencing Friday 31st March at Rock UK at Whithaugh Park, Newcastleton in the Scottish Borders.
The Young Leader Squad involves a weekend residential course where they will meet other like-minded young people with a passion for their club and pass on this enthusiasm to younger club members. It’s a fun weekend with lots of positive content around becoming a great Young Leader.
