Performance Swimming Advisory Group
Head Coach Craig Holmes has been invited to join Scottish Swimming’s newly established Performance Swimming Advisory Group for Fife. He will be one of only two club representatives on the group which has been established specifically to advise, review and monitor the ongoing access to swimming facilities in Fife for ‘Performance’ and “Performance Development” swimmers. The group has representation from Fife Sports & Leisure Trust, Fife Council, Scottish Swimming and Sportscotland.
Fife has very few performance swimmers at the present time but Glenrothes has a number of up-and-coming swimmers who might reach this level in the future. The group will also be involved in future discussions and agreement about the use of the swimming pools in Fife for club squad training sessions and events, so Craig’s involvement is helpful in ensuring that the club has some influence on future direction. It is also an accolade to Craig himself as a senior coach who is making great strides in producing good swimmers.
